1000's of Local Images in our Archive
This collection was begun by Jim Clare, now our Chairman, who visited the newly opened Heritage Centre back in 1999. As a an ex-parish school pupil, he had managed to gather a large collection of school photographs and offered them for display. This was an instant attraction, and was promptly joined by copies of a fantastic old Stockport postcard collection, kindly supplied by Jim's sister Grace, on behalf her late husband.

With appeals in the press, and many very helpful visitors, the collection soon grew to encompass any old images of the town and suburbs.
