An exhibition celebrating the 200th anniversary of the re-building of the nave and tower of St. Mary’s parish church in the Marketplace is to be held at the Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery on Greek Street. Starting on Saturday 17th June it will run until Saturday 8th July. Jill Trumble will be giving a talk about the exhibition at 11am on Saturday 24th June, at the same venue.
The exhibition is being put together by the Council and Stockport Heritage Trust, and is being kindly sponsored by the Vernon Building Society.
Tuesday – Friday 1pm – 5pm
Saturday 10am – 5pm
Sunday 11am – 5pm
At the end of the exhibition period at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery, the exhibition will be moved to St. Mary’s, where it will be on display until later in the year.
