There are two new displays in Stockport Heritage Library charting the events leading up to Peterloo and the roles played by the people of Stockport. One commemorates the Sandy Brow meeting of February 1819, the other gives more information about the Stockport people involved and has a timeline running up to 1817. There is soon to be a display about the ballads of the time in the library. There are only two weeks to go for the launch of the Sandy Brow guided walk and the self guided leaflet and places have been booked up. There will be another chance for a guided walk sometime in April, watch this space!
