Update of terms and conditions of dungeon use.
CLARIFICATION OF OPENING TIMES & TERMS OF USE
In view of some mis-information that has been circulated recently, Stockport Heritage Trust would like to make it clear that;
We open the former courthouse and dungeon to the public on the 2nd Saturday of every month, from 10.30am until 3.30pm, or when the last visitor leaves.
Private visits outside of these dates and times may be arranged by contacting the Trust at https://stockportheritagetrust.co.uk/contact-us/
Under the terms of our lease with the owners, Guinness Properties, the building may not be used for commercial purposes, nor by any third party.
The former courthouse and dungeon, as well as the Heritage Centre in St. Mary’s church is run by our unpaid volunteers.
The centre is open Tuesday and Saturday 10:30-2:00 pm.
